The vision of the millionaire poet, Eric Boissonnas, sho fell in love with the site, was to develop an avant-garde ski resort in the Bauhaus style.
In the early 60's, the famous Bauhaus architect, Marcel Breuer, realised this dream by creating a very modern dialogue between man and nature.
Flaine contunies to share its passion of art and music, hosting exhibitions and summer residencies for some of the leading music schools in France and Europe.
